MTB Enduro rider Haden Mills (16) got in touch with us after suffering from de-hydration at the Port Angeles MTB Championships, spending some time in the e.r. before being released to ride on. A case for SOURCE Hydration!
Convinced by Haden’s first race season results and his plans and ambitions for 2016 (and onwards) we’re happy to supply him for his second racing season with our brand new Hipster Hydration Belts and a Ride Hydration Pack equipped with our D|Vide 2 in 1 bladder – to make liquids available at all times with no extra effort. To re-fuel on the go. To make sure, in the upcoming 2016 race season he’s on top of things with the right amount of fluids AND electrolytes at all times.
Asked about his new SOURCE Hydration pack and belt, Haden says: “I had been using a hip pack all through the 2015 race season wishing it had a bladder inside instead of 2 water bottles.” That piece of gear is now retired and replaced with a SOURCE Hipster, featuring the made-to-fit Widepac Hipster hydration reservoir.
Haden’s life revolves around riding. In the little time he’s not shredding trails (or building the trails) he’s “in the pain cave doing intervals, lifting etc.” And, curious aobout how he uses his new SOURCE packs, he reports: “The Hipster pack carries plenty of water for most of my rides. Occasionally I will take out the Ride pack for all day rides. I pack water, electrolytes, an assortment of tools from crankbrothers, electrical tap, zip ties and a spare derailleur hanger…”
Haden will be racing the full Cascadia Dirt Cup Series along with MTB Championships at Port Angeles. “My goal this year is to get my first top 5.” We wish him good luck and are curious to get updates throughout the year here and on Facebook!
